What is Intergroup?
A central office to carry out certain functions common to all the home groups. It exists to aid the groups in their common purpose of carrying the A.A. message to the alcoholic who still suffers.”

What is an Intergroup Rep (IGR)?

• IGR’s provide another level of service to their recovery.

• IGR’s are the “go-to” people in their home groups.

• IGR’s create the connection between their home group and other homegroups.

• IGR’s make up-to-date announcements to their home groups of current activities.

• IGR’s bring their home group’s opinions, ideas and votes to the intergroup for consideration.

• IGR’s attend the monthly Intergroup meetings and discuss ways to carry the message.

What does intergroup provide to the region?

• Stocks and sells A.A. literature.

• Distributes up-to-date lists of A. A. meetings.

• Keeps a local office open to answer phones or walk-in requests for help.

• Coordinates efforts between local groups to carry the message.

• Serves as a vital link between local members and A. A. General Services.

• Organizes committees such as Corrections, Treatment, Activities and Finance.

• Organizes social activities encouraging fellowship and connection with other AA members
